Fiji Government Overseas Award 

 THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA DEVELOPING COUNTRIES PARTNERSHIP (DCP) SCHOLARSHIP TENABLE IN 2010


The Fiji Government through the Government of the Republic of Indonesia Developing Countries Partnership (DCP) Scholarship invites applications from Fiji citizens to study Post Graduate (Master’s Degree) programme tenable in Indonesia from September, 2010.

Considerations when applying for the scholarship:

  1. Applicants should note that the scholarship is granted ONLY for Post Graduate (Master's Degree).
  2. Priority will be given to candidates whose areas of work addresses the following categories which are part of Fiji's priority areas of training:
    1. Sciences
      1. Public Health
      2. Pharmacy
    2. Agricultural Science
      1. Agricultural Economics
      2. Forestry
      3. Veterinary Science
      4. Agricultural Engineering
      5. Soil Science
    3. Social Sciences
      1. Public Administration
      2. Management
      3. International Relations
      4. Psychology
    4. Engineering
      1. Civil Engineering
      2. Architectural Engineering
      3. Electrical Engineering and Informatics
      4. Mechanical Engineering
      5. Geological Engineering
    5. Education
      1. Education Research and Evaluation
      2. Vocational and Technology Education
      3. Instructional Education
    6. Humanities
      1. Anthropology
    7. Multi-disciplinary Studies
      1. Tourism Studies
  3. Period of Study:
    1. Indonesian Language : 8 months
    2. Master Preparatory Programs: 4 months
    3. Masters Programs: 24 months (4 semesters)
  4. Awards must be taken up in September, 2010.
  5. Requests for deferment will not be considered.
  6. The Scholarship holders must return to his or her own country at the end of the scholarship and will be bonded according to the PSC Scholarship conditions.
  7. The scholarship will cover the following :
    1. Indonesian Government
      • Tuition
      • Living Allowance
      • Research & Book Allowance
      • Round trip International Airfare
      • Monthly allowance
      • Medical assistance
      • Settlement/Establishment allowance

 Eligibility:

  1. Must be a Fiji citizen
  2. Should be maximum of 35 years of age as of date of commencement of studies.
  3. Has a bachelor degree or its equivalent.
  4. Has a TOEFL score of 450 or equivalent.
  5. Students already on Fiji Government awards; Student Loan Scheme, Fijian Affairs and Multi Ethnic Affairs Scholarships or are serving any Bond will NOT be considered.

Each applicant must submit the following documents:

  1. Completed application form.
  2. Certified copies of diplomas and academic transcripts.
  3. A Certified copy of passport or birth certificate.
  4. A TOEFL score certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
  5. A completed Medical Examination Report.
  6. Police Clearance report.
  7. Three [3] passport size [3x3] photographs.
