The Public Service Commission under Part 3 Subsection II (I) part (e) of the Public
Service Act, 1999 is vested with the authority and responsibility for the training
functions in respect of the Public Service. Its Training Division undertakes these
responsibilities.
In order to improve and upgrade job performance of public servants, the Training
Division carries out a systematic process of training to:
- improve the job performance of individuals through building and developing their
skills, knowledge and behaviors;
- assist individuals in reaching their personal and professional goals;
- support public servants, departments and agencies to build the capabilities of
the Fiji public service it requires now and into the future.
